Explanation
Fixing a drywall (plasterboard) sheet onto a metal frame or wood battens requires enough screws to prevent any sagging or coming loose over time, without needlessly multiplying fixing points. Common practice puts this density between 8 and 10 screws per square meter for a simple partition wall, or about 25 to 30 screws for a standard 2.50 × 1.20 m sheet (3 m²) — the recommended spacing between screws along a stud is generally 25 to 30 cm, with a distance from the sheet's edges of at least 10 to 15 cm to avoid tearing the paper facing.
